Service Never Ceases For Many

There are many career options available for the nation’s veterans. After getting out of the service, the best careers for veterans, frankly, might be to go back into the service. They should not go back into the military but continue their career as a civil servant of some sort.

There are several advantages to this. The most obvious one being the ability to “double dip” on accrued government pension benefits. A second advantage is that many of the virtues that veterans learned in the military, such as punctuality, orderliness, and an ability to do as instructed without a lot of backtalk, translate easily into such careers as working for the Postal Service or even facing danger once again by entering the ranks of one of the nation’s law enforcement agencies.

Veterans with specialized training such as nuclear operations or computer networking have very bright and very specific opportunities that others do not.
