How to Apply to be a Firefighter in Tasmania
Positions for trainee firefighters typically open once a year and are advertised in local newspapers or on the state service website under the Department of Health and Human Services and the Tasmania Fire Service (TSF).
To apply, you must submit a written application that covers all of the criteria needed for selection along with a cover letter and resume. You will also need to include copies of documents including a Record of Conviction check to prove you have no criminal record, a Tasmanian Certificate of Education for at least Year 10 or higher (or an equivalent certificate), your current manual drivers license, and proof of Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
What do I Need to Be a Firefighter in Tasmania?
