What do Airscrubbers Do?

An airscrubber is a device that is built into the ductwork of a HVAC climate control system. It performs the function of removing air pollution, surface contaminants, pet hairs and dander, odors and dust from the air inside a home. It does this by using UV light rays and a catalytic process to provide a cleaner and healthier environment in a home.

Each day people bring different contaminants into their homes without even realizing it: these can be carried on clothes, shoes and on a person’s body. Once inside they are transferred to surfaces such as doorknobs, floors and counter-tops where they build up over time.

Airscrubbers can destroy up to 99% of all surface contaminants and purifies the air that a person breathes in a house by reducing up to 90% or airborne contaminants. In addition, these devices have also been found to be effective against airborne diseases such as Swine Flu (H1N1), E. Coli, norovirus and other disease causing bacteria and viruses.
