Understanding Integrated Listening Systems

Integrated Listening Systems (iLs) is a type of therapy that uses the processing of classical music to emphasize different frequencies that are outlined in the practitioner’s therapeutic objectives. The goal behind iLs therapy is to train a patient’s ear and brain to analyze and process sound faster and with greater accuracy.

The premise of iLs therapy is based on the principle of neuroplasticity. This is the brain’s ability to develop new neural pathways when responding to a specific type of stimulation. For this reason, a practitioner may implement iLs on its own or along with a variety of other therapies.

There have been a lot of clinical reports and case studies that looked at how beneficial iLs is for patients of various ages. These reports and studies have shown that iLs helps with concentration, communication, organization, physical regulation, and anxiety.
