The Sfc Type 1: Know This

An autoantibody linked to scleroderma is called an SFC type 1. Normally, this antibody leads the body to develop sclerotic lesions in connective tissue, which causes organ fibrosis and ultimately results in death. The sclera, a thin, white covering that surrounds your eye and gives it color, is what gives scleroderma its name. This kind of scleroderma can cause symptoms such as joint pain or swelling, Raynaud’s phenomenon (a blood vessel condition), elevated ESR levels, and diminished lung function brought on by interstitial lung disease, among others. Anti-centromere Antibody Associated Scleroderma is another name for SFC Type 1. Scleroderma of this kind is an autoimmune condition. As the body’s immune system attacks itself, it inflames several bodily parts, including the connectivetissue and organs.

Sclerosis can damage the heart valves, which could result in heart failure or abrupt death. sfc type 1
