Telehealth Services is one of the new ways where patients can seek certain medical and clinical services on call. The system has been successful. It showed improved access of patients to the healthcare providers, especially those who live in remote areas and find it challenging to access clinical services anytime they are ill or need medical consultation.
In these services, a patient generally has to create a profile or an online account with the telehealth clinics. Patients who then seek telemedicine sessions with the doctors will have to fill some necessary information, list down their past medical history and any existing health condition, and then have a telehealth consultation with the doctor on call or video conferencing.
Aside from calls, other services that telehealthcare provides to the patients include remote patient monitoring (RPM) and access to certain mobile health apps.
