Using a 2D Code Scanner

A 2D code scanner is a device used for reading binary codes. These codes are printed on special labels like product packaging, product labels, and shipping papers. A scanner can be a hand-held device that can be used from a distance or installed permanently in the product or in a piece of equipment like a printing press to scan the label directly. The latter option is better, as it eliminates the need to physically touch the label every time you want to change the value or press the printout button.

A code scanner can be a portable device powered by batteries or AC or a plugged-in power supply cord. Some scanners come with additional features like labels, erasers, and printers. If you find that the included features do not cover all your needs, you can look for other available options.
