It’s easy to find over the counter acne treatment medication, although there are also many effective natural remedies for the unwanted skin condition. A few drops of unfiltered, raw apple cider vinegar mixed in water is one of the best natural remedies, as is a baking soda mask, which helps to exfoliate the skin. Other remedies that acne sufferers have found effective include tea tree oil, which has strong antibacterial properties, and coconut oil which can reduce redness as well as fight bacteria. Lemon juice, garlic and cornstarch are other common products you may have in your kitchen and may want to try. Preventing and treating acne also means the right diet, one that avoids processed foods, and focuses on fresh fruit, vegetables and plenty of water. A simple allergen test can also determine if food allergies are partly the cause of your acne.
