With an employee assitance program in place, it’s possible to seek help with stress, depression, or other mental health issues. Employees and their family members can usually access these services by making a phone call.
The brilliance of an EAP program is that the problems you are facing do not have to be work-related. Maybe you’re dealing with health issues or family problems. There may be a divorce or financial issues that are plaguing you. Whatever you’re dealing with, a qualified counselor can help you make a plan. Usually, most plans will provide a few sessions free of charge. If additional counseling is deemed necessary, a plan will be put together.
