One of the most ambitious childhood programming efforts is that of Scratch, which is a project operating under the auspices of the Massachusetts Institute of Techology, or MIT. Unlike many other coding games and exercises for children, Scratch is designed to be both community-oriented and highly interactive.
Although the idea was to be Scratch Programming for Kids, Scratch has turned out to be a lot more versatile and practical than expected. Kids of all ages, as the saying goes, find Scratch both educational and even addictively fun to play around with. It is also configured in 60 different languages and available in more than 150 countries worldwide.
Scratch works with a drag-and-drop interface so even the least experienced can drop new code blocks onto the display and instantly see how they affect the overall program. Scratch is very smart, very fun, and very easy to learn.
