Safe And Sound Protocol: What It Offers Clients With Anxieties

The Safe and Sound Protocol is a non-surgical approach to re-educating your body to relax – within five days of learning. It works on the premise that there are five senses. Through exploration and sensory testing, you can identify which five senses you need to activate to safely and effectively relax your body. By engaging in specific exercises, the SSP puts your brain in the driving seat to control the direction of muscle tone, relaxation level, breathing, and other aspects of relaxation. It does this through stimulation of the vagus nerve. Nerve stimulation is based on the fact that our bodies naturally use this nerve to send messages between the brain and the rest of the body, such as swallowing food, drinking water, and moving our bowels.

By providing information about the connection between stress and behavior, the Protocol can empower clients to find appropriate ways to reduce or eliminate their level of stress.
