George Friedman was born in 1945. George has been the CEO of Stratfor since 1996. He grew up around Russia, and this is where his interest in geopolitics began. George graduated from Harvard University. He got a Master’s degree in Political Science from Columbia University. He served as Chairman of Stratfor Global Intelligence from its founding in 1996 to July 2013 when he became CEO & President of Stratfor.
George started as an intelligence officer for US military forces during their involvement in Vietnam War. He is the author of many books that have sold over 1 million copies worldwide, Geopolitics 101: A View From The Top.
