If you’ve been sexually active, it is a good idea to go for a male STD test if you have had unprotected sex lately. This is important if:
- You’re about to start a new relationship
- Both of you are debating whether or not to use condoms;
- Your partner has cheated on you or has several partners
- You have multiple relationships
- You have symptoms that indicate you may have an STI.
You may not need to conduct a male STD test at home if you’re in a long-term, mutually monogamous relationship, and both of you were tested before starting the relationship.
If, however, you and your partner were not tested before the start of the relationship ( or no male STD test was conducted on you), one of you may have an undiagnosed STI which may have been in your body for years. Getting tested is the safest option for you today.
