The policy covers the worker’s compensation claims of Albertans who have been injured in the course of their employment. Benefits covered by the plan include treatment and medical costs and monthly wages, and other lost income. As per the regulations laid down by the government, all Albertans who are injured on the job are entitled to claim these benefits from the Alberta workers’ compensation board.
Benefits are available only to those who have filed the claims before the prescribed time and those registered before the specified time. Claims can be made for the period commencing from one year to five years from the date of the accident.
