Two services provided by private therapists are hypnosis and life coaching. Both are attractive because of what the names suggest, and both are real potential services that have specific benefits. Hypnosis is not always dramatic, as the process can be gradual and nothing that extends into the realm of unreality. It is just reinforcing a suggestion in the mind to help ease bad habits or else to promote new ones. Life coaching is a cognitive process where the participant is encouraged to change their thinking in order to induce better mental habits.
The two, in a way, go together because they deal with repeating thoughts and mental habits. Discouraging negative thought processes can both reduce stress and weaken a problematic mental connection. Hypnosis goes to a more subconscious level by asking the deeper parts of the brain to give up strong connections and to build new bridges.
