- Clean out any remaining residue from inside the bore where the new seal will be installed and apply lubricant if required by manufacturer’s guidelines before inserting the new seal into place carefully pressing down until it is properly seated in position within the housing assembly line-up mounting flange with existing holes if necessary and secure accordingly using appropriate tools screws clamps etc
