By Car

The easiest way to reach Moraine Lake is by car. Depending on traffic and road conditions, the drive takes about 1-2 hours from Calgary, Alberta. Take Highway 1 west toward Banff National Park until you reach the turnoff for Moraine Lake Road which will take you right up to the lake. Make sure you bring your national park pass if it’s required.

By Shuttle Bus

Another option is taking a shuttle bus from either Calgary or Banff town centre directly to Moraine Lake Lodge at the base of Mount Temple near Morraine Lake itself.
