Hemp Textile Clothing Properties

Industrial hemp is a plant based textile fiber extracted from the stem of a cannabis sativa plant. This fabric was first produced in the Middle East and Asia around 8000 BC and was later spread out to Europe around 1200 BC. This plant based fiber is one of the strongest fibers and had at some point in the past been used for rigging and sails on maritime vessels.
