Specialty Telehealth Services is a relatively new concept in the telecommunication industry. This is not only because it is different in terms of service and technology but also in terms of how the concept is being implemented. Telemedicine, sometimes referred to as “Remote Telephonics,” refers to the use of specialized equipment to provide health care services to patients that reside thousands of miles away from their primary care providers. This is done through a connection of audio and video technologies to enable doctors and other health professionals to see a patient through their computer and hear and view the same as if they were in person. This type of arrangement has brought a radical change in how specialists provide health care, making the practice of specialty much more effective and streamlined in terms of patient care and in-patient recruitment and management.
