People all learn in different ways. While some may find instructor-led training to best suit them, others prefer to learn at their own pace and convenience and therefore turn to online training – also known as eLearning. When the creators of this type of content begin to put training together on any particular subject, they must keep in mind many factors such as why a person might be trying to learn something new, the learner’s environment, timing, and more. They must also have a clear path they are taking the learner down to reach specific learning objectives. These objectives should be introduced prior to the start of the training module. This way, the learner knows what he or she can expect from the training. In the end, there is a great deal of planning and consideration that goes into designing eLearning.
