Circuit Board Assembly Process

A printed circuit board (PCB) is the foundation for wiring and supporting electronic surface-mounted, receptacle-loaded components in electronic devices. These components are mounted on the board’s surface with help from heat-bonded soldering or fastening methods. These components are also called PCB traces or simply traces. Also, a printed circuit board is the core component of any electronic system based on electronic circuitry.

The manufacturing process of a printed circuit board assembly involves several steps. The first step in this process is to create a design, which is an image or a drawing of the final PCB. Next, the layout of the final PCB is drawn on paper or other media, and a copy is made of the drawing using a high-quality inkjet or laser printer. A PCB layout company is hired to produce the final version of the design to release.
