Swelling beside a sink, loose hinges, chipped edges, and an outdated finish may all be visible while the underlying units remain usable.
Open each cabinet and inspect the sides, shelves, bottom panels, joints, and points where the boxes attach to the wall.
Soft material, water staining, separated joints, or severe warping signals a deeper repair.
Replacing only the doors will not correct those defects. New fronts make sense when the boxes are dry, square enough to align, and still provide a sound foundation for the hardware.
